Apart from this, some bad bacteria, antibiotics, surgery and tapeworm can also be the reason for its deficiency.

Vit B12 is present in abundance in meat, fish, chicken etc.  Eating liver in mutton does not cause deficiency of vit B12. Apart from this, vit B12 is also present in low-fat milk, buttermilk and cheese. Eggs and fish are excellent sources of vit B12. Vit B12 is found in abundance especially in tuna, trot, salmon fish.
